Hello Senior Software Engineer! Thanks for taking the time to read this far. We're not sure how you found this job post. Perhaps someone told you about Humblebee. Perhaps you saw one of our articles online and thought this looked like a pleasant place to spend your days. However you found us, I’m happy you did. Humblebee is a digital service studio based in Sweden, and we’re looking to add key people like you to our fantastic team.
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Software Engineer at Humblebee, you will be working in a multidisciplinary product team together with other developers and designers to create the best possible digital products and services for our clients. In our way of working, we build multidisciplinary product teams that work closely with our clients.
Our purpose at Humblebee is to build what’s needed, meaning that our software should reflect the client’s business, not be just a technical-jargon construct.
You will leverage JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and GraphQL to build secure, high-performing software and also integrate AI and machine learning to enhance functionality.
Is this you?
Are you constantly experimenting with modern technologies to find new and improved ways of building things? Do you spread energy and inspire your team members?
We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team in Gothenburg. It doesn’t matter that much if you call yourself front-end, back-end or full stack. The most important thing is that you’re good at programming and web development in general, and that you love developing great experiences and building what’s needed.
We’re looking for someone focused on the JavaScript/TypeScript stack, with experience in Node.js, React, .NET, C# and Headless CMS. We’d love to see experience with cloud technologies, including Serverless architecture, Kubernetes. Bonus points if you’re curious about infrastructure as code tools like Pulumi and have a keen interest within Artificial Intelligence. Candidates showing practical experience in these technologies will be prioritized. If you have experience with Microsoft Fabric, that's a definite plus.
At Humblebee we believe in the power of teamwork, and we expect our people to contribute to improving our ways of working. We don’t make a title distinction between frontend and backend developers at Humblebee, since we believe that web development is more complex than that. Instead, we encourage people to develop a T-shaped profile based on their skills and interests. Of course, we don’t expect all developers to know everything but rather feel a responsibility for the whole.
You are as important as your skills
We employ people as much for their human traits as their competence and skill sets. We like good humans around us. We work in a collaborative environment (design sprints, development sprints, workshops with clients etc.) and therefore we employ people who are empathetic, kind, patient and gracious. We are Humblebee.
Before you apply, read this carefully
To help us find the right fit, we prioritize candidates according to these key criteria:
- Technical Proficiency. Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and GraphQL. Familiarity with cloud technology like serverless architecture or Kubernetes is a plus.
- AI Understanding. Interest in integrating AI and machine learning components to enhance product functionality.
- Quality Focus. Commitment to building secure, high-performing, and reliable software that aligns with client business goals.
- Team Collaboration. Enthusiasm for working in multidisciplinary teams, contributing to a collaborative, T-shaped team dynamic.
- Growth Mindset. Openness to continuous learning, sharing knowledge, and improving ways of working.
- Human-Centric Approach. Empathy, kindness, and a proactive attitude are as important as technical skills.
Candidates who provide concrete examples of projects, contributions, or solutions demonstrating their expertise within these areas will be prioritized.
Good to know!
This position is full-time and based in our Gothenburg office with a hybrid working model (part office, part working from home). For this position a Swedish work permit is required. We do not offer relocation assistance or Visa sponsorship.
